Ivan Hawkins Memoriam
05/08/24 - 02/21/22
Ivan was born to George Rush and Gertrude Kesel Hawkins in Waterman, IL. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side in Gilbert, AZ. He was the great patriarch of his family, a patriot, civic leader, and faithful Christian. He loved his family, America, God, and music. A WWII veteran, he proudly served in the Army Air Corps. He was a child prodigy and professional musician on trumpet. He was the City Clerk of Tucson and a respected attorney. He married Venice Lindsay and reared two children. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother David (Frances). He is survived by Venice, children Anne (Thomas) and James (Donna), 7 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 3, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 1005 N Voyager, Gilbert, AZ 85234. Interment to follow at 4:00 p.m. at South Lawn Cemetery, 5401 S Park Ave, Tucson, AZ 85706.
