He was preceded in death by his mother, Katie Ruth (Danielson) Klemmedson; father, Gunnar S. Klemmedson; sister, Mary (Klemmedson) Martin; brother, Richard Klemmedson. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Lois (Blehm) Klemmedson; sister, Ruth (Klemmedson) Nylen, Grants Pass, Oregon; sons, Daniel (Adaline) Klemmedson of Tucson, Mark Klemmedson and John Klemmedson both of Redmond, WA; daughter, Lauri (Klemmedson) Dalton of Tucson; grandchildren, Angela Klemmedson, Dana Klemmedson and best friend, Peter Blaser (Tina). He was raised in Ft. Collins, Colorado and Fort Worth, Texas. He attended the University of Texas, Colorado State University and the University of California (Berkeley) and received Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate Degrees. He met and married Lois in 1952 while a student. He moved to Tucson in 1966 from Boise, ID to join the faculty at the University of Arizona where he was a Professor in the School of Renewable Natural Resources. He conducted research and taught both undergraduate and graduate students. It was while on an educational sabbatical in Switzerland that he met Peter Blaser, a fellow researcher, who became a life-long friend. He was an ardent University of Arizona sports fan and loved to travel. Most summers after retirement were spent exploring cooler climes. He was a member of Dove of Peace Lutheran Church for 44 years and lived his faith. He will be missed dearly by all who crossed his path. In lieu of flowers, he and his family would want you to celebrate his life with those you love. Arrangements by EVERGREEN MORTUARY & CEMETERY. www.evergreenmortuary-cemetery.com
