I have very fond memories of Jon. The shy, quiet one in the Owens family. He ran xcountry & track, and after his brother Matt passed I would go visit the family often, even played handball with Jon on the weekends. RIP FRIEND

We are stunned and so saddened to hear of Jon's tragic death. We remember his smiling face from when Zach and Hannah were in preschool together at Anshei. I was amazed at how devoted he was -- always there, ready to help with a smile on his face. He will be very sadly missed by every person who had the pleasure of knowing him. Jon was the most amazing dad. Our kids attended Anshei Preschool/Kinder together and Jon was at every parent meeting, every event, eager to assist with whatever needed to be done, always with a smile. I am so sad for Joy and his children and hope that their memories of Jon help them through this difficult time. He will be missed dearly by many.

Although we moved away from Tucson four years ago, I will never forget seeing Jon and your family at Anshei. Jon had a great smile, and so much spirit and loving dedication to your family. Seeing John on a daily basis driving up and down the street, shuttling kids, going to work there was always one constant, a big smile on his face as he waved.
