Jose Robles Obituary

Jose C. Robles Mr. Robles has joined his wife, Quirina in heaven. He passed on Thursday, April 30, 2009 in Douglas. Jose was born in Pirtleville, AZ on March 1, 1910. He and Quiri resided in Douglas and raised their children, Gloria, Jose (Graciela), and Sylvia (Reyes Vasquez). Mr. Robles retired from the Phelps Dodge Smelter in 1975, after working for 44 years. As a member of St. Luke's Catholic Church he enjoyed being with his wife in the choir. He was also a member of the Bushmaster's Military Unit. He and Kitty always liked dancing to the Latin Combo. Mr. Robles was also the greatest Tata to his ten grandchildren and his exponentially multiplying great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He loved them all. Jose was an avid deer hunter He enjoyed watching baseball and boxing. He was born before Arizona was a state. The world changed ten-fold in his 99 years. He loved every minute of his life. A Rosary and memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Douglas, AZ. Memorial services are conducted by Brown Page Mortuary.

Robles family: Our prayers and condolences on the passing of Jose C. Robles. I am sure you will miss him as he was a wonderful person whom I remember at the smelter. God be with you all as you celebrate his life of 99 years on May 6 at St. Luke's Catholic Church.
