Dad,
It's been nine-years today since you left this planet. Not one day passes that I don't think of you. Gosh, how I miss you! I will be having an ice cream ( Butter Pecan ) with your sweet grandson Tomas in your honor this evening .
I miss my best friend. I miss my workout partner. I miss hearing your voice from across the room, saying " yo Dave". Life has changed so much since your departure. Tomas is getting to the age where he likes to wrestle with me. This reminds me of my childhood and wrestling with you! You were such a fun and caring father. I can only hope I will be half the father to my son, as you were to me! You would really enjoy your grandson and I'm sure he would really enjoy his grandpa! I will be sure he knows all about you. I will share the stories that you shared with me. I will share pictures, fun times, the laughter, and the details of our special father/ son relationship. I wish you could have met him. Tomas will know of you & I will be sure he knows what a great father you were!
I was so fortunate to have you as a father. I would not change one thing, or one minute of what we shared. Now that I am a father, I realize what a special relationship that is. I also realize what it means to worry about your child. When my child falls down, I too feel the pain. You never gave up on me Dad. You will never know how much that means to me. I hope when my time comes, you are there to guide me on my way. I'm sorry for the stress and worry that you endured at times. Now I understand! Thank you for always being there and never giving up on me. It Paid Off. I made it Dad!!
There are times when you visit me in my dreams. This is always nice. It allows me to feel for a brief moment that you are still here! It seems just like yesterday when you passed. I hold on to every possible memory. You were the coolest, most understanding, patient man I have ever met! I try to exhibit some of these features with my own family. However, it's hard to live up to all the qualities that you had. You were truly "One Of A Kind" ( You had a very kind soul ) You are missed by anyone who was fortunate to have known you!
See you in my dreams Pop's !!!

Many blessings I have known from time spent with Ken. He always displayed a bright, winnng spirit, no matter what was happening. Ken always sought to work out challenges that came to him and others. I so appreciated my brother-in-law's humor. Ken could laugh at most any situation. Yes, i will miss Ken greatly. I was blessed to have known and shared with him. Vel Post

Ken was truly an amazing person. The way he lived his life was inspiring to all who knew him. He endured many years of fighting this deadly disease with true grit and humor. He is certainly looking down from heaven now without the pain and suffering of this world. Our love and prayers to all his family in this time of loss.

Ken Ormsby was an inspiration, a mentor. He was a gift from God for those who had the pleasure of meeting him, working with him and knowing him. He had a huge heart and compassion for Native American communities of all tribes and a special place for the youth. He was a human textbook in exercise science, physical activity and taught the importance of living a healthy lifestyle throough not only his teachings but through his example. He was truly an amazing kind person. He showed and had strength, courage physically, mentally and spiritually. He is and may he be now home in the presence of our Heavenly Father. He was an angel on earth and now in Heaven. I thank God for knowing him and proud to say he was and always will be an inspiration and friend. May God Bless and comfort his family and friends now and always.

In loving memories of a wonderful person. I know our Lord is at peace and glad with the way Ken lived life. Your legacy at Pascua Yaqui Community has had a powerful influence on so many tribal members. Your smile welcomed young & old to get excited about working out, eating right, and making good choices. You thought us so much about health. I recall you saying "find your purpose in working out then only will you focus and have freedom, because you're in control". Rest in Peace My Friend ~ Anselma Torres
