Lawrence Danzo Obituary

Lawrence "Lorenzo" Anthony Danzo, a first-generation Italian-American, was born on March 8, 1943, in Kansas City, MO, to Anthony and Camille (nee LaSalle) Danzo. On October 22, 2023, he peacefully departed this world in Tucson, AZ, surrounded by the love of his life, Jennifer Danzo. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Sam. Lorenzo's legacy lives on through his surviving loved ones: his wife of 40 years, Jennifer Danzo, son Steve (Shannon) Danzo, daughter Sandi Danzo, adored granddaughter Camille (Bradley) Danzo, grandsons Dominic and Alex Danzo, great-grandchildren, and beloved sister-in-law & nephews, as well as a host of cherished friends.Lorenzo's life's path commenced in the vibrant Italian neighborhood of Northeast KC, where he unearthed his true calling as a master barber. His passion for the craft led to numerous victories in competitions and accolades, both in Kansas City and Las Vegas. Lorenzo's entrepreneurial spirit led him to ownership of various barbershops and hair salons, culminating in the ownership of his most beloved establishment, the Orange Grove Barbershop in Tucson, AZ, where he partnered with his dear and longtime friend, Tim Cronin. As they approached retirement, Lorenzo and Tim entrusted their cherished barbershop into the capable hands of their trusted friend and colleague, Shown Lawrenceson.Lorenzo was the epitome of a renaissance man: a gentleman, self-educated, a published writer, an aspiring artist successful with paints and other mediums, and not to mention the best-dressed man you'd ever meet. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Lorenzo's legacy is one of love, creativity, and a life well-lived. In the tapestry of our lives, Lorenzo's memory will forever be a vibrant thread, woven with love, laughter, and indelible moments. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit lives on in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him.

Got my haircuts at Casas Adobes and later Orange Grove barbershops. Always enjoyed talking to Larry and the other barbers. It was an old time barbershop experience with sports on TV and good conversation. Larry will definitely be missed.
