Louis Mastrangelo Obituary

MASTRANGELO, Louis P., 73, passed away on August 17, 2006 with his wife, Glynda, by his side. He is also survived by two sons, Louis, of Dallas, Texas and Donald (Rachel) of Prescott, AZ; two daughters, Stacy (Charles) Muratore and Alison (Scott) Thatcher of Tucson and six grandchildren, Mary and Nicholas Mastrangelo, Riley and Kirby Muratore and Jake and Brett Thatcher. He leaves two brothers, Tony (Pat) of Tucson and Vince of Solana Beach, CA; a sister-in-law, Angie of Tucson and many nieces, nephews and cousins. His parents, Louis and Helen Mastrangelo and a brother, Donald, preceded him in death. Lou was born in Bighamton, NY in 1933 and moved to Tucson with his family in 1951. He was a general contractor, building many homes in Tucson and Corona de Tucson. Lou and Glynda then moved to Lakeside, AZ where they owned and operated a fishing lodge. While there, he was actively involved in St. Mary's Church and the Knights of Columbus. They returned to Tucson in 1999 and subsequently retired in Green Valley. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, August 20, 2006 at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL, 6910 E. Broadway. Mass will be offered 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 21st at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. Burial will follow in Holy Hope Cemetery.

I had the honor of caring for Lou in his final days. He was a caring man who loved his wife and maintained a sense of humor. I was saddened by the news of his passing. Lou and Glynda are in my thoughts.
