Miriam Bartolic Obituary

Miriam E. (Karel) Bartolic age 74, passed away peacefully in her home on April 10, 2014. She was born January 28, 1940, to the late Edward and Mildred (Hanzel) Karel. She was a 1958 graduate of Maple Heights High School in a suburb of Cleveland, OH, and later attended nursing school at St. Thomas Hospital in Akron, OH. She had a long-time career as a registered nurse, served a number of years as a paramedic and firefighter for a volunteer fire department, and volunteered for various charitable organizations. In retirement, she enjoyed reading, crafts of many kinds, especially quilting, and spending time with her grandchildren. She made Tucson her permanent home in 2000 after many years in Northeastern OH. She is survived by two sons, Edward (Kim) Bartolic and Raymond (Christy) Bartolic; her grandchildren, Mallory, Emilie, Andrew, Tyler, Jonathan and Gregory and sister, Jennifer (Karel) Galletta. A Memorial Service will be held at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL in Tucson on Friday, April 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
