I still can't believe you're gone ... AutoCorrect changed that to "going home." That's not correct ... as you are home. As I said before, keep the light on for me. I miss you so much!
Yesterday we were at Granny's looking through papers. We found your obituary. Mom asked me to read it and as soon as I saw your picture, a heavy weight sat on my chest. I couldn't breathe ...
Last night, a couple of us cousins (well and your niece and nephew) got together to eat. We talked about you after I said Mom had recently made the best macaroni and cheese I had ever tasted. It's neck and neck, but the deciding factor will have to happen in heaven!

Sweetheart, yesterday we had an impromptu get together that was both sweet and painful. Sweet because some of the people who feel your loss the most were all together. Painful obviously because you were not with us. Within the short silences of that day between laughing and memories, I could feel and hear your presence. You are NEVER forgotten and are always missed. I see you. Strong. In your baby Lyric in particular, the way she has of looking out for you, making sure you're taken care of: today it was getting me some water with ICE (her touch) and seeing if I wanted to put my feet up in Aya's recliner. In little Asiah (Mae), I also see your quick wit and chatter and your way of looking at things differently. She is kinda hankty (could that be you too, lol). In Timahny, TIP, I see your big heart and desire for justice. You live on in so many ways that I cannot begin to describe. I have so much more to say, but "I miss you Moire" is at the heart of it. Until we see each other again, leave the light on for me. Love, NaNa

It is easy to say how wonderful you are, now that you are no longer with us; It is easy to express how truly dynamic and caring you are to any and every one since you've been gone. What is truly special is that it was easy to articulate the many fantastic qualities you embodied, since you were a young girl. You and I are the closest in age of all the grandchildren, so we ran tight, often mistaken for brother and sister. I often looked over you as little sister and made it my duty to protect you, whether you needed it or not. You are with me as vivid memories in my mind, love in my heart and now permanent ink on my arm; as opposed to my younger cousin walking home from school. The feeling however is still quite the same; you are special and worthy of the world to see, yet, I often hold you close for only those close to us to view. While I love and think of you every day, today I share what you mean to me. Look down us as I imagine you often do and smile.

Moire, the last time I saw you, you babysat my kids. How sweet you were to them! I've read through the notes...so much love! I'm sure you know. Today, Renee sent this page. My daughter, Moriah Rebekah Josean (I call her Mo Jo at times) was looking over my shoulder. She said, "mom, I pray for her children every night." Elena has your kids names' on her dresser which is where her prayer list is. I'm positive you know all if this. Your babies are well looked after and prayed for. You couldn't have a better sister in Carrie. You are so loved...by your brothers, mom, aunts, cousins, friends...as a member of your extended family and on behalf of myself and children, I love you, miss you and will see you later. I thought about you so much this past weekend. This time last year we were all together celebrating Cam's birthday. Man, where to start sis! I miss you so much Mo. I swear i always remember us in the kitchen and you asking me if you should go into a career for doing hair or culinary, and i was thinking man she's about to start life and i know she'll do good at them both. That's my last memory of us that i have. Then there's the baked mack that you made the best. Just watching your kids grow up, lyric looks like you when you were young, she's like a spitting image of you when you were young. Sometimes I forget your not coming back and it's those times, times like now where I break down. Man what i would give to bring you back sis! You had a delayed start but I know you were going places and going to do things, but I'll make you proud sis. I know you're looking down on everybody right now.
