Dear Great Aunt Norma and family,

Words have escaped me these past three months, to convey to you my sadness at this news, and also share how special a person Uncle Ray was to me.

There are so many memories that come to mind of the fun times my brother Dave and I had on the golf course with Uncle Ray growing up.

Like the time we went down too steep an incline with Uncle sitting on the back of our golf cart - nearly throwing him off into a creek when we turned...we drove him a little crazy that round.

...Or the time I couldn't figure out where to hit my ball and stood on a tee for 15 minutes asking Uncle Ray to describe in great detail where I should aim. When I ended up hitting my drive, it just trickled off the tee. Uncle just looked ahead and began walking toward the fairway. Pausing, he looked back at me and said, "I've never told anyone this before, but you should give up the game"...we all laughed...

I will always have wonderful memories of times shared with you and Uncle Ray, and am very grateful for having had that privilege.

God bless you Auntie.

Love always,

Lance King

So very sorry to hear of your family's loss. I'm sure he's already burning up the bowling lanes in a special place. You're in my thoughts and prayers.

When I was in high school some forty year ago, I had the pleasure to work with Ray at Immaculate Conception School in Milwaukee. Ray taught me a great number of things. I will always remember the stories and laughts with Ray and George. Just a wonderful man.

I lived just down the street from Mucha's bar. My dad (Joe) bartended
for him. He always talked about how much he liked working for Ray.

I remember him as a gentleman and a gentle man. He never had a bad word for anyone. Each weekend I would go to the tavern and get chips and a soda. I remember the customers watching the kids play baseball and basketball across the street on becher playground.

Great Uncle Ray was a mentor and a friend to me. He taught me to be a good sport in losing, but that it was much more fun to just get better and win. Most of all he helped teach me to expect success from myself in all things - a lesson I pray I'm able to pass along. I will carry the fond memories of my time with him always.

God Bless our Uncle Ray, Aunt Norma, and all the extended family.
