Today it's been a month.. A long dark month. It's not true how they say it gets better, it only gets harder. Day by day..knowing you're not here to feel the warmth of the sun, the embrace of a hug..It's so hard to think you're gone, forever. They say life goes on...we're waiting. It's hard when all you're left with is memories. Happy ones, sad ones.... Its hard to know that I'll never see you again. I remember whenever we would visit you and nana, we'd pull up in the van and here you'd come to open us the gates.. We wait for the day you can be there and greet us at the gates once again...of Heaven. You're always on my mind and your voice, it echoes through my thoughts. Tio champ I miss you dearly. Going to nanas house in Douglas and playing basketball with you and our dinners during the holidays were the best. I love you so much uncle. It has been a painful week for the whole Rivera family, but I am so happy I was able to have an uncle like you growing up. And our talks about the future and having fun while we were playing ball was the best. And that long drive home from Douglas to Tucson made me appreciate life so much more. We miss you, but love you just as much.

I think our (your nieces and nephews) fondest memory of you is always playing basketball with us at Nana's house, or taking us to Tony's. Oh how much fun we all had. I know Noelle would have loved to grow up with the same memories.
I'm still in disbelief, hoping that one day ill wake up from this bad dream. I can't stop asking God WHY. I pray that one day I'll come to understand this and forgive him. You are truly missed but will forever live on in my heart. Rest in paradise.
