We had Ron's funeral yesterday and we read the kind words that were posted here. I will miss Ron but will always be grateful for his unconditonal love and support that he gave to his family. Anthony and I will forever be telling Papa stories to our children and grandchildren. My brother and I could not have asked for a better father then the one we were blessed to have. I love you, Papa

Ron was someone I could always trust when things got scary in the field. He knew when to be tough and when to be gentle. Anyone who knew him well knew both sides, and in between there was the fun stuff and the deeper thoughts and conversations. I remember he and I talking about the various branches of the Mormon Church and venting at some of the higher admin people at the Sheriffs Dept. He was always livened up a shift.
Keep the angels smiling, Ron!

I was assigned to Ron's squad in 1972. What a man! What a Cop! I learned from him, I laughed with him, and I called him "friend". Now, I shall miss him. Godspeed, my brother!
