Shelby was a great colleague and a compassionate teacher. I was having lunch with a former student a month ago, and she mentioned how much his support meant to her when she was at Desert View.

I was blessed to have known Shelby as a teacher at Sunnyside High School many moons ago. He was a dedicated teacher and a good man. He will be missed by many especially by Pat and the boys.Think of Shelby and put a piece of his legacy in your heart and make it your own. Love and hugs to all. Sorry I can't be there today to celebrate his life.

It is with great sadness that I hear the news about Shelby's death. I was a member of his family for 13 years by marriage and I am truly shocked about the death...my heart, thought and prayers are with his family at this time
