I am deeply saddened to learn of Sylvan Green's death. I worked for him and Dr. David P. Byar at NIH in the 1970's as their secretary. Where did the years go?

As a Professor at Case Western Reserve University, I felt privileged to audit Professor Green's seminar on Clinical Trials and still have the many notes I took. I treasure my memories now of his love for this topic, his genuine concern for his students' progress, and his scholarliness. He will indeed be missed.

Sylvan was a good friend. We met at Central High (220) and commuted to U of P together for four years. Many years later, when he was working at NCI, we got together in Bethesda. I will truly miss him.

I was very saddened to learn of Sylvan's passing. Sylvan was best man at my wedding and probably accomplished the most from our high school class at Central HS (Philadelphia).
Our condolences to the family.

I am very saddened to receive news of Sylvan's passing. While I only had the opportunity to meet him once on a professional basis, I am a great admirer of his important contributions to cancer research and clinical trial methodology. He was also a superb presenter.

He will be greatly missed by his colleagues, but not forgotten...

My condolences to his family.
