Dear Bob, Tina and Preston,

You are in my thoughts and prayers once again as you mark the anniversary of Tara's homegoing to be with the Lord. Praying that God will continue to enfold you in His mighty arms and give you comfort in your sadness. Hold on to the promise that you will one day be together again.

as 1 yr looms I still find it hard to believe. We think about her often. I found more pictures of our last visit a few weeks ago, they brought a smile to my face. We hope you are all well and send our love and best wishes on this upcoming especially hard day.

Tina,
I have thought of you so many times during this difficult year. You have had to experience all of the "firsts" that come after someone dies. You have lived through graduation, bday, holidays, and now must face the anniversary day of her death. Know Jesus has not taken his eyes off of you and actually knows of your grief and sadness but also know he is the giver of joy. I hope you can look at her life as beautiful and such a great gift to so many and not focus on the sadness too much. I am thinking of you.

I go while you remain.
Know that I live on,
Dancing to a different measure
Behind a thin veil
You cannot see through

You will not see me
So you must have faith.
I long for the day
When we can soar together again,
Both aware of each other

Until then live your life to the fullest. And when you feel that you need me, Just whisper my name

I will be there.

I think about you Tara, all the time. I've also had a few dreams about you, wearing white with long beautiful red hair.. walking with me along a pier next to the ocean. The dreams seem so real and yet unbelieveable. I know you're still here, watching over everyone. I love you. Much sympathy to her family.

Tina and family,
I found out today at Sato's office about the homegoing of your beautiful daughter. I never met her but saw her grow up in pictures. My Jordan is the same age and we have followed the kids through the years. Please accept my apology in finding out the way I did. My heart breaks with and for you but I also rejoice in knowing she knew Jesus and now sings a new song for all eternity. You miss her now but will not have to miss her forever!!! May He be your comfort now in awesome ways and may He be the giver of all the strength you need. The Bible tells us His grace is SUFFICIENT and that means it will be enough for the moments.

Tina, Bob, and Preston, There are no words , consolation, wisdom, and advise , that will give any releif to your greif , but time and your faith in God , do know that there is a whole community of people that loved your daughter Tara, even if they didnt know her . That in itself is a miracle , that she touched so many peoples lives, we will all just hold our children a little closer, and tighter and not take notice of the things that dont matter . Family comes first . We love you guys very much . We are very sorry for you loss , she will be missed. But will always be in our hearts . God Bless

I didn't meet Tara till New Years 2007, and now that I think about it, I'm glad I brought in the new year with her. I'd heard so many great things about her from Brian and Kyle. Mostly, I was glad that Kyle was happy. That night Tara and I made plans to get our nails done and go out the next time she came to Clarksville. I didn't keep in touch with her like I should have, but she's definitely touched a place in my heart. My prayers go out to the family and Kyle.

I met Tara through Kyle. About a year ago. We hit it off right away, and i knew then and i still see her as an amazing free-spirited individual. Kyle has been my friend for years and I'd never in all those years seen him as happy as he was with Tara. That says something spectacular. His life, my life, and the lives of Tara's friends will never be the same. We love you, Tara. I know wherever you are you've found peace.

January 12, 2009

Tara was one of the first best friends i've ever had. I met her in 1st grade and we were joined at the hip for a long time. She is a really big part of my past and even though we grew apart, I'm going to miss her so much. To Tina, Bob, Preston, Kyle, and the rest of her family, I'm so sorry she's gone. We were all lucky to have her be a part of our lives.

Brianne Schichtel

January 12, 2009

I was lucky to have met tara. From the moment i met her, she treated me not as her cousins girlfriend, but as a new friend she had yet to meet. She was always nice and always smiling and having a good time. I am incredibly sad that we did not see eachother for a while. But even so, I will remember all the happy times we spent together...I was lucky to have seen her and kyle together. Not many people are lucky enough to find the people they were meant for, the love of their lives. They lit up the room and they made eachother, and everyone around them, better. I will always remember her like that. They teach us all, that even if just for a moment, love is the shooting star that illuminates our dreams and awakens our hearts.

Donna Schichtel

January 12, 2009

I too was lucky enough to know Tara. When she came to visit in Tn, she became one of my kids just like Kyle and Brian. She became a "sister" and friend to my girls. She would myspace and text me just to say hi or chat. I am blessed that the day before all this she thought about me and I got a text from her. I wish we had gotten to talk more that day. God Bless you, all my hugs and prayers.

Baker Family:
I did not know Tara too well, we sometimes talked in art, and smiles were passed to one another, however she seemed like the sweetest person. When i heard about her death it shocked me. She seemed so strong, fearless, her poor health never seemed to put her down. Once or twice i would pass the dance room and out of the corner of my eye see her and other girls dance. From what i saw, she was a fabulous dancer. Im sure you are very proud of your baby girl. She was the type of person who was loved by so many. Many looked up to her, others called her their best friend. Im sure everyone has wonderful memories with her that will stay with them forever. My prayers go out to your family. Tara Ann Baker is now a fabulous dancing angel, watching us from above. Tara Youve blessed so many people more than you know. You will be missed.

Our thoughts are with your family and is just so surreal. Talking with Tina at school functions helped prepare me for what my children would expect in middle school and high school and this was through Tara's experienes. We weren't best friends, but we were friends and i'm going to miss her very much. I've known her since sixth grade at Magee. She was a very outgoing girl and a talented dancer.
