Ms. Lucille and Family,
I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Terry's passing. I just now heard my sister saw something on TV and then googled him knowing that I would want to know of this since Terry and I have been very close friends since the late 70's. I have never known anyone like Terry and don't expect that I ever will. He was bright, funny, kind, considerate and loving, just to mention a few of the things I loved about him. You can be very proud of the man you raised. I ask Jesus to wrap his arms around you and comfort you in your time of need. I know how much he loved you's. I moved to Las Vegas years ago and Terry and I still kept in touch for a lot of those years. We'd hook up when I come to Tucson. Terry was so easy to talk to, there wasn't anything I couldn't talk to him about. Please know that you will see Terry again in God's Kingdom. I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain. Know that you are all in my prayers. I am very thankful that I was lucky enough to have known and loved Terry. His bright light will burn in my heart and mind forever.
With my deepest sympathy,
Sandy

I'm so sorry to hear that Terry has passed away. I knew Terry when we were in Cochise College, located in Douglas. He was in the Basketball Team and was a very good athlete. He was always happy when I would see him. I enjoyed talking to him and I found out he was from Tucson and had gone to Tucson High School. I had graduated from Douglas High School. After we left Cochise, while I attended U of A, I ran into him in Tucson. He was his cheerful self and I was happy to see him once again. That was the last time I saw him. I am glad to have met Terry. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

The last time I saw Terry was at a U of A football game last season. We were both so happy to see each other that we talked for about an hour and forgot about the game. To Lucille, Mamie, Bernice, and Rosie, Terry was my first love and we shared a beautiful daughter together. We shared good times and we missed out on good times, but we understood each other and we knew why we chose the paths we did. We remained friends and I advised him of things that Shawna celebrated in her schooling and we remained so proud of her. I will miss Terry like no one will ever know. He was my first real love and we had something so,so special through the good times and the bad. He is gone way before his time and he never got a chance to meet his beautiful grandchildren and for that I am inconsolable and I will live with that pain. May he rest in peace and it's so hard to say goodbye to my dear "funny face" So, until we meet again, bye Terry....I will miss You.... Babette

To the family of Terry...although I never had the opportunity to ever really know Terry I wanted to send my deepest condolences. I share a deep passion for our Wilcats just like Terry and my entire family (32 of us) shared the Family Zone with Terry for years. Although we only knew each other from the games, I truly felt like I had known him my whole life. People would always say...there's your friend when they saw him. We would always give the "Brother hug" at every single game and he would glance up at us when the Cats scored or on a big play. Again, I hope you realized that Terry left a lasting impression, even to those who didn't really know him. God Bless all of you. His sister would know who we are....they always let the kids stand in front of them to get the players gloves.

Dear Caldwell family: You don't know me but I (so briefly) had the distinct pleasure of knowing Terry. Each Sunday morning I would buy my newspaper at Terry's Texaco at Oracle/Ina. Each time we would wax wise about "sports" and truly enjoy our mutual company. I was on vacation when the Texaco closed and was unable to say to say "GOOD BYE" friend - Let me say it now..... We all will miss him....

TERRY WAS A MAN THAT YOU COULD NOT FORGET. HE ALWAYS HAD A SMILE AND HUG FOR THOSE WHO NEEDED IT. I HAVE KNOWN TERRY FOR OVER 10 YEARS AND LOOKED FORWARD TO SEEING HIM AT HIS JOB (AT INA AND ORACLE) BEFORE THE MOVE. WE WOULD TEASE EACH OTHER ABOUT MANY THINGS. I WOULD BRING HIM SOME HOMEMADE GUMBO IN DECEMBER AFTER MY BIG PARTY. HE ALWAYS LOVED IT. HE WAS A STANDUP GUY AND HE WILL BE MISSED BY MANY. MY THOUGHT AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE CALDWELL FAMILY. MEMORIES OF HIS LIFE WILL KEEP US GOING UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN. GOD BLESS ALL.....
