Dr Moore was the best ENT in Tucson. He performed our daughters tonsillectomy in 9/87. She had 2 front loose teeth and they had to pull them. I just came across the teeth and bag they were in. He was the kindest Dr we have ever been to and an excellent surgeon.
I am so sorry for your loss. Rest In Peace Dr Moore. You are missed and still thought of.

Worked for Dr. Moore when he had his practice across from TMC and moved over with them to the new facilites behind St. Joes. Kind, caring, respectful, a true gentleman. Best Doctor and boss I ever had. My condolences to the family on his passing.

Dr. Moore was always kind and respectful to me as I started my career as one of the first women in private pediatric practice in Tucson. It was a pleasure to refer patients to him because I knew that they would always receive excellent care and I would receive excellent feedback about them. My thoughts go out to his family in this time of loss.

I was referred to Dr. Moore in 1968 at the age of 17 because of persistent nose bleeds. In 1969 he was able to diagnose a tumor in my sinus cavity and removed it through the roof of my mouth, a very serious procedure. Unfortunately the tumor returned a year later. Dr. Moore felt so bad he offered to send me anywhere for the second surgery. I only wanted him to do the surgery. He was not only the best surgeon for me, he was kind, understanding, and one of the nicest human beings I have had the pleasure of meeting. I will always be forever grateful for being referred to him. My deepest sympathy to all his family, friends, and associates.

I worked with Dr. Moore as an anesthesiologist primarily at Tucson Medical Center. His competence and compassion made every one our medical teams perform at the highest level while fostering an atmosphere of respect and caring among the staff. I considered myself blessed when I got to work with him. If I ever grew up I wanted to be a physician and person just like him. At age 70 I am realizing that trying to emulate Herman Moore might be too tall an order for most physicians and community members but one could live an excellent life just by watching him interact with patients and colleagues and then attempting an honest if feeble imitation of that. Teddy, Eric and Julie were his greatest pride and during times of conversation he made me a better husband and father. How he did that I know not, but I left his company a better person every single time. I will cherish my memories of Dr. Moore and am saddened that the world had to let go of a truly great man.

Julie and I will miss him. He was my ENT and a neighbor in Skyline Bel Air in Tucson. We think of their family every time we drive by their former house with its extraordinary collection of cacti. Good people,
