Toni D. RIESGO

RIESGO, Toni D. Our Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, December 18, 2016. Toni was born in Tucson on December 20, 1925. She was a lifelong resident of Tucson. She attended Ochoa Elementary, Safford Jr, High, and proudly graduated from Tucson High School in 1944. Toni retired from Hughes Aircraft (Raytheon). Toni was preceded in death by the love of her life of 61 years, Lupe R. Riesgo and her son, Albert D. Riesgo. Toni was a strong and independent lady. She was a fantastic cook, who made the best green corn tamales and flat enchiladas ever. She was an avid gardener. Toni is survived by her children, Toni and Damian Quijada, Rosemary Riesgo, Jaime and Bernice Riesgo. Her grandchildren, Lisa Aguilera, Debra Holmes, Patricia Quijada, Damian (Cynthia) Quijada, Nick Quijada, Ryan, Rayna, and Rheana Ruiz, Albert Riesgo, Jr., and Daniel and Clarisa Riesgo and Mia and Karyme Perez. Great-grandchildren, Ju, Jillian Mason, Keaton, Damian, Nicolas Jr., Victoria, Bryn, Isys, and Niara. Three sisters and numerous nieces and nephews. Thank you to Ralph Duran, Pat Camacho, and Nufi Riesgo for spoiling our mom. She held very dear in her heart Annette Gracia, Lupe Chacon, and Elma Marquez. Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at BRING'S BROADWAY CHAPEL 6910 E. Broadway, Tucson. Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at Santa Cruz Catholic Church . Interment to follow in Holy Hope Cemetery.
