Dallas E. Henry
Apr 21, 1940 - Aug 31, 2025
Dallas Henry, 85, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, unexpectedly passed away at home on Sunday morning, August 31, 2025, doing his favorite thing – worshiping Jesus. He was born on April 21, 1940, in Montpelier, Ohio, to Maurice and Roena (Siebenaler) Henry. He graduated from Montpelier High School in 1958.
On June 4, 1961, Dallas married his high school sweetheart, Myrna Day at St. John's Lutheran Church in Montpelier, Ohio, who later became his first convert. They shared 56 wonderful years of marriage until Myrna's passing in 2017, or as Dallas fondly remembered: 56 years, 9 months, and 4 days.
From the 1960s through 1976, Dallas sang and played piano in various gospel groups, sharing the salvation message of Jesus Christ through music across many communities – and was blessed to be able to lead his mom, dad, and sister-in-law to the Lord. In 1976, he stepped off the road to become pastor of Hosanna New Testament Church in Oxford, Maine, where he faithfully served for over 40 years until retiring in 2016 to Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was a faithful and active member of Tulsa Christian Fellowship and played the piano before and after every service.
Dallas was a caring and compassionate man, known for his integrity, servant heart, and unwavering faith in Jesus. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who found joy in family, ministry, and service – and sharing corny jokes.
He is survived by his children: Timothy Henry and wife, Rachel, of Windham, Maine; Lydia and husband, Gary Bell, of Norwich, New York; and Miriam and husband, Glenn Shaw, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Leora Henry of Bremerton, Washington, and Luke Brewer of Tulsa, Oklahoma, as well as his sister-in-law, Mary Lynn Fuller of Springfield, Missouri.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, September 20, at 2:00 pm at Tulsa Christian Fellowship, 2121 E. Third St., Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Dallas Henry can be sent to Tulsa Christian Fellowship, 2121 E. Third St., Tulsa, Oklahoma 74104. Condolences may be shared at
