Daniel Francescon Obituary

Daniel Francescon

Daniel Louis Francescon, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2021. Born in Chicago, IL, Dan graduated from Iowa State and joined the Navy in 1951. He met Dorothea on a blind date in 1954. She outranked Dan and was 4 years his senior. They were married in less than 6 months.

Dan was a knowledgeable aircraft engineer, a talented artist and an avid sportsman. He loved hunting ducks, shooting clay targets, playing tennis and riding his bicycle, all of which he actively pursued into his late 80's.

Dan was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dorothea. He is survived by his children, Patricia LeGendre, John (Marilyn) Francescon and Joy Francescon (Charles) Stanley; grandchildren, Brian, Nathan and Jack Stanley, and Olivia Francescon.
