Dear Kathleen,
Carol and I are sorry to hear that Darrell died recently. I truly enjoyed our annual opportunities to sing together at the Spruce Creek Christmas Concerts. His ability to read music and his strong vocal talent was wonderful support to our bass section. His cordiality and interest in people were genuine. Please accept our sincere condolences.
Kind regards,
Ray Zall

Kathleen, please know my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Darrell was a great boss to me, and my memories of working with him at Lowrance Electronics are happy ones.

I was sad to hear that one of my best friends in South Junior High in Joplin, MO, has passed away. Darrell was a very special person.
I followed his career in the forming and growth of Lowrance Electronics. I used his products on my own boat. Fishing was always one of my passions. My folks had a place on Paradise Point at Grand Lake in Oklahoma, I have also fished in Texas, Florida, Canada, Minnesota, Nebraska, Kansas, Arkansas, to name some other locations.
I remember Arlen, as well. I believe he was a year behind Darrell and me.
My dad had one of the original "Green Boxes." My father's name was Carl Christiansen and he owned Peerless Manufacturing in Joplin.
I went to U. of MO. in Rolla for a Mechanical Engineering Degree. I worked for Dad for a few years and then went to work for IBM in St. Louis. I am retired now and living in Sullivan, MO.
I was greatly heartened to hear about Darrell's strong faith in God.
Please accept my sympathy for your loss. God bless your family.

It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through. May the God who binds up the broken-hearted and comforts all who mourn, sustain your family during this challenging time. Isaiah 61:1,2
