Elyse it has been a very hard week, with your birthday on February 16th you would have 19 years old. I remember all the birthday fun when you were little and as you got older you always wanted to get your hair done and go shopping and out to lunch. I think about what we would have done this year for your birthday if you were here with us and get so sad. I wish you were here with us, that is my only wish....love you mom

TyTy and Lysee, It has been three months since I have seen those beautiful faces, those beautiful smiles. Just to hear your voices, feel your hugs. Hard to beat this loss. Both of you added so much sunshine and happiness to so many. I thank God that you both were in my life. Now I have to wait for eternity... I love you both so much, Mom

I just want to let everyone know how thankful I am to the Tulsa community for all their support for both families. Also the people of Oklahoma City, and Panama City for their support for both families. This page will end on November 10, 2007. I have started a memorial web page for Elyse (elyse-cannon.memory-of.com) to remember her always. I would be happy to help Tyler's family start a memorial web page for him if they wish sometime soon. I wanted both families to know before this guest book is closed, that your families are in my prayers. I had signed earlier and wanted you to know this terrible news about these two beautiful young people hurt me and I cannot imagine the hurt you are suffering now and will for a long time. I know words cannot express to you how we feel, even as complete strangers, but may God's gentle arms and love surround you and comfort you.

Chuck and I were sorry to hear of Tyler's & Elyse's terrible accident. We have grandchildren the same age as they were and cannot comprehend the loss you must feel. The love and memories that are in your hearts for your children can never be taken away from you.
Elaine I wish there was something I could do to ease your pain but of course all anyone can do is offer you a shoulder to cry on and an ear to listen to you if and when you are ready. We never know the ways of God but I'm sure he has a plan for Tyler and Elyse. They are in the arms of God.
Chuck and I remember seeing and talking to Tyler the last time and he gave me a big hug and told me he loved me. He thanked Chuck for always being there to take him to the pool. I remember him playing basketball in the east parking lot. I remember him always with a smile on his face. He was the sweetest boy and he will be missed a lot by Chuck and I.
Bunny you know I’m here for you and always will be. Please call if you or Elaine need anything and I will try to do it.
We would like to say to Elyse's parents we met Elyse and are so sorry for their loss and hope they take comfort in the fact that Tyler loved their daughter and she loved him and you never saw one without the other. Please except our condolences for your loss.

Tyler, you were always so darling and fun-loving. You will always be that curly-headed blond baby with big blue eyes who watched intently every thing around you. It is hard to remember you without a smile on your face which you shared with everyone. May God's face be shining on you and Elyse with Granddaddy by your side. You were both taken from us so early. May you watch over us until we come to meet you. We love you both.

Whispers From Heaven
They say that life is fleeting
I know that this is true
I left this world so quickly
with no goodbye to you.
I know how much you miss me
Your tears fall every night
The pillow where you lay your head
Is wet with them at night.
I know your heart is hurting
She wants to beg "Please help me".
"I love you’s" left unspoken
Are spinning in your head.
The strength that I have carried
That served to make you whole
Remains to make you stronger
Within your grieving soul.
For you see, while you were weeping
An angel came to see me.
She took me by the hand
And led me to a kingdom,
in a very distant land.
As I look down from Heaven
And see you standing there
Your heart so ever burdened
With more weight than it can bear.
I long to bring you comfort
I long to give you peace
I long to hold you closely
Cause all your tears to cease.
The joy I've found in Heaven
Goes far beyond compare
The love that's so elusive
Can be found everywhere.
The light is softly shining
There's no storm clouds here or rain
There's no teardrops found in Heaven
There's no suffering, there's no pain.
You needn't be so troubled
Stay close to God and pray
For someday we'll be together
One bright and glorious day.
So Ma, you shouldn't question.
Ma, you need not cry.
I've gone to be with Jesus
I really didn't die.

My Elyse was a delightfully precocious child.
When her brother was in wrestling, she was a wrestler too. And like any little sister worth her stuff, she didn't let him get far without her.
When asked what she wanted for Christmas, her answer three years running was "a monkey". I don't think she wanted all those books I had Santa send, but she always smiled and said, "thank you." Finally, I got the message.
She could sit beside you and give you a smile that would melt your heart.
She played baseball, number six.
I turned around, and the precocious imp had become, beauty. And the smile, well, it remained the same.
I will always miss and love you, Elyse, while I keep you safely tucked in my heart.

Elyse, our hearts ache for you and Tyler. Not a day went by that you didn't make us happy to be your mom and dad. You were just so sweet and we never dreamed you would leave us. Your precious smile always made us feel special to have a daughter like you. We will think of you each and everyday for the rest of our lives because you're still here with us. Daddy's lost his little girl he always wanted more than anything in life. If we had one wish it would be to touch you, to smell you, to hold you just one more time. You and Tyler take care of each other in heaven. We will come to see you and Tyler often. Love Dad and Mom
