Siyo, I am very sorry to hear of the loss of this Great woman "No Ten O Quah". I have not met Grace but I have heard lots about her from Father Buck and Don Wild Eagle. I know about Jim Thorpe and every year here where I live at Carlisle Barracks PA, he is remembered on Sports Weekend and his name is around us always. I will be sending prayers today for all the family of Grace and her friends. I sympathy is with you all. Much Love, Raven, Teddy, and Daijanna

My dad would always tell stories about the time she held me as a baby. Over the years I have learned more about her father and realized that it was a real honor.

I was in Claremore recently, I heard that Grace was in a Hospital, I stopped at the Wrong Hospital, they did not know her, I was stunned, and told them who she was, I wanted to meet her,
When I was born September 6, 1929 in Tahlequah, a short time after I was born my Father was a Newspaper Editor there, Jim Thorpe came to town and Dad asked him to our home to see his new baby boy, Jim patted me on the rear and said what a cute Baby. It was in the 40's when my Dad told me this. I am sorry I did not get to meet Grace.

Grace and her sister were kind enought to pose for a photo of them holding our son during the opening of Mr. Jim's restored childhood home in Yale 18 or 19 years ago. They recalled some great memories and stories about Big Jim and kindly allowed us to ask questions at great length.
We all had a good laugh once they knew our son's name.
God bless
