It's now been a little over one year since we all lost Dr. Jim Rodgers. Every few days I so badly miss him.
He and I were friends, but I cannot claim to be a real close friend. I've known him socially for close to 20 years, but in the few years he treated me as a patient, I found him to be one of best people to be around in this entire state. Was he flawed, . . who among us isn't? but he was a very, very good man. God, I miss seeing him. May God bless . .

My deepest condolences to the family of Dr. Rodgers. He was such a great physician. I had the opportunity to work at Muskogee Regional Hospital as well as at his private practice as a medical transcriptionist and he was always such a great human being. I just recommended him to my sister who is having issues and was looking up his office number to give to her and just found out he had passed last year. May you all find peace and strength in the Lord.

I had not seen Dr Rogers since 2020 and had no idea he was sick. I visited a new pain specialist today and found out about his passing. I tell you, it took my breath away and I felt tears welling up. I can not tell you what he meant to me. Beyond relieving my pain back in 2011, the absolute kindness that emanated from his soul was beautiful. You could see it on his countenance before he spoke a word. And that smile! What a light he was. If his passing impacted me, a mere patient, this much, I can only imagine what those closes to him must be going through. My prayers are with them and my gratitude for helping him help others all of these years.
