What words? A kind, thoughtful, gentle soul. From our meeting at Grand FORKS AFB(SAC) NDAK at a ham radio club in 1964 through present we have been friends....with a 30 year break in between when I ceased the hobby due to business and young family activities. We were not in touch all those years- then Jerry thought of me and contacted me in the Boston area and gifted me 2 subscriptions to Ham radio magazines and would call to chat weekly. After one year, I resumed the hobby and we spoke weekly via ham radio. We saw Jerry and Penny in person on 2 occasions in Boston and Albany NY. This was the "special" nature of Jerry. May these thoughts help to console his family of a life well lived. Love Herb Schurgin and family
