Our entire staff would like to express our condolences to your family. Mike was a special customer at Merritt's Bakery for many years. I remember waiting on him when he first started coming into the 15th St store. He was very quiet but after a while, I got him to open up and we had many nice conversations thru the years. He came into the South store after we opened there and I still got to see him often since he came in so early. He was always so kind to me and our staff. I hope that when I retire I can be as much of an inspiration to someone as he was to the students he helped.

We will all miss Mike a lot. He has been the key player in our Class of '51 relationships. I am sure he will keep helping from his new vantage point up there. God Bless, Mike.
