John O'Dell Obituary

John Kelly O'Dell, age 61, of Oologah, Oklahoma, entered his eternal home in the early hours of December 21, 2024. John was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 14, 1963, to George Patrick O'Dell and JoAnn Bridges O'Dell. He retired from American Electric Power/Public Service Company of Oklahoma in July after 42 years of service.
When asked about his greatest accomplishment, John's response was always the same, "My family." John truly cherished the roles of a loving husband to Jeri, a devoted dad to Kelley and Kristen, a doting Poppy to Addison, Coen, Liam, and Miles, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. John's heart was always full, and he found immense fulfillment in the love and connection he shared with those closest to him. His legacy of unwavering love and boundless generosity will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to be a part of his life.
John is survived by his wife, Jeri; daughters, Kelley (Tyler) and Kristen; grandchildren, Addison, Coen, Liam, and Miles; siblings, William Talley, Mable (Jim) Swartzlander, and Pat (Tonya) O'Dell; father-in-law, Jerry Parvin; brother-in-law Toby (Diana) Parvin; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and JoAnn O'Dell; mothers-in-laws, Connie Parvin and Linda Parvin; brother-in-law, Karry Parvin; and niece, Heather Reavis.
John's legacy will carry on forever, reminding us to live lives of meaningful acts of love and service. A celebration of John's life will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 11, 2025, at First Church in Owasso, Oklahoma.

What a great man and the legacy you leave behind for your loved ones. I remember the day you and Jeri-Ann got married. She was so very excited and in love! I know that Jeri-Ann and the girls were loved well by you and vice versa. Praying for the whole family. Much love to all.
