Kenneth Mullins Obituary

Kenneth Mullins

Ken Mullins passed away peacefully August 21, 2021 after a brief battle with pneumonia.

Ken was born in 1944, grew up in Sand Springs, OK and graduated from OSU. He later went on to own Willie's #3 Drive In restaurant in north Tulsa. He married Leslie Cheney in 1981. He was later blessed with retirement in 1998 to enjoy his favorite hobbies of horse racing, watching sports, and managing their investments (stock market trading).

We will forever miss his incredible sense of humor, compassion, intelligence, and steady influences. Ken was loved by all who knew him and would tell you himself that he had a wonderful life; read his recent Facebook posts to view his own words.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. and Cloeta E. Mullins; brother, Jerry Mullins; sister, Teri Mullins; and nephew, Jay Mullins.

Ken is survived by his wife, Leslie Mullins of Owasso, OK; brother, Jim and wife, Judy Mullins of Sand Springs, OK; sister, Joyce and Clay Stewart of Sand Springs, OK; brother, Larry and wife, Patty Mullins of Sand Springs, OK; sister, Sandi Elleman of Sand Springs; and too many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews to list here.

He is also survived by in-laws: Dona Cheney of Rapid City, SD; Ward Jr. and Cathy Cheney of Sand Springs, OK; Harold and Cameron Miller of Rapid City, SD; David and Jamie Holbrook of Rapid City, SD; Scot and Debbie Cheney of Choctaw, OK; Sky Cheney and Britt Lee of Irving, TX; Gene and Lana Brodersen of Fremont, NE; along with too many nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews to list here.

Ken's parting wish is that everyone feels the same love and happiness that he enjoyed throughout his life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Iron Gate Tulsa via www.irongatetulsa.org are encouraged.

Ken preferred no funeral and due to the recent Covid surge, a light and happy Celebration of Life will occur at a later date TBD.

I am so sorry and shocked by the passing of Ken. He was a wonderful human being and a great friend of mine and my late husband Buddy. Bless you, Leslie. Anyone who ever knew Ken will have special memories of him forever.
