Kyle Herren Obituary

HERREN - Kyle Alan, A loving son and big brother, Kyle Alan Herren left us much too soon. Kyle, 22, died Saturday, November 7, 2009, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. Kyle was born April 15, 1987, the first child of Kent and Lisa Herren. He was later joined by younger brothers, Zach and Blake. Kyle graduated in May 2005, from Jenks High School. He went on to study at the University of Oklahoma. He became an avid Sooner supporter, even making a road trip to their national championship game last January in Miami, FL. Kyle earned a degree in mechanical engineering and graduated with distinction from OU in May 2009, and began working as an engineer at J.D. Hair & Associates in Tulsa. Kyle loved hiking, mountain biking, cars and motorcycles. He made several trips to the western United States to go mountain biking and hiking with his parents, brothers and other family members. He was a typical big brother, teasing his little brothers but making sure no one else did. He cheered them on at their sporting events and enjoyed tubing with them at Lake Skiatook. He will be remembered by those who loved him for his big grin and easy-going personality. "A gem," his father called him. Survivors include: his parents, Kent and Lisa Herren, Tulsa; brothers, Zach and Blake of the home; grandparents, Rae and Melvin Herren, Alma, KS, and Charles Bohn, Wamego, KS; numerous cousins, aunts and uncles, who loved him dearly. A visitation is set for Tuesday from 5:30- 7 p.m. at Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st St. South, Tulsa. A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m., at Redeemer Covenant Church, 5415 E. 101st St., Tulsa. A final memorial has not yet been established, but memorials can be sent to Kyle Herren Memorial, Fitzgerald Southwood Colonial Chapel, 3612 E. 91st Street South, Tulsa, OK 74137. www.southwood colonialchapel.com

Lisa, Kent, Zach and Blake--

Words seem so inadequate at this time, so let me try with images that will tell you how Kyle will live on in our hearts: when all our kids were in front of a cheery fire watching a movie with the side door open, letting the winter breeze in; block parties, birthday parties and sleepovers up and down South St Louis Avenue; Kent and I and the boys playing baseball in the open field along Riverside Drive; dodge ball with all the kids in the street, chanting "Can't touch this!"
Kyle was a wonderful young man. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kent and Lisa,
Our thoughts are always with you. Words cannot properly express the emotions felt when we are unwillingly separated from the souls we are blessed to guide thru life's journey.

Know always that the love and guidance you have given to Kyle will not be forgotten. He will use it in a new place with the same love and passion.

It is a law of physics, matter cannot be destroyed. It only changes forms.

With Love,

Words cannot express the sadness we are all feeling, Kyle was a wonderful person and was a big part of the happiest times of our families memories. Every weekend with the kids couldn't wait until someone got up at each others house so they could begin their days together. All the street hockey, catch and of course bike rides they went on, Josh started riding bikes so early to be just like Kyle. He didn't have training wheels so he didn't need them because Kyles bike didn't have them. Our prayers are with you and your family, we are there if you need anything. He will always have a place in all of our hearts......

Love,

Lou, Patti, Tara and Josh Vuocolo
