ANDREWS - Lucy Madeline, 90, died peacefully in her sleep Monday, August 20, 2007 at the Oklahoma Methodist Manor, Health Care Center, in Tulsa. Lucy was born on August 11, 1917 in Fort Smith, AR. She is now in Heaven with her parents Sarah Watson Andrews and Joseph Henry (Harry) Andrews; maternal grandparents, Jim Reed and Lucy Ann (nee Spencer) Reed Cailloux Shepherd; maternal great-grand- parents, Elisha and Vian (nee Gerald) Spencer; paternal grandparents, Joseph (Jake) and Nell (nee Burchell) Andrews; aunt, Margaret Carter; cousins, George (Arlye) Carter, John Ferdinand (Louise) Cailloux; sisters, Ona Watson (Earnest Weldon) Scudder, Maude-Allen Watson (Irving Vermette) Jones, Sammye Watson (Charles Welton) Gayman; and brother, Elton Harry (Margaret) Andrews; and dear friend, Agnes Lawson. Survived by: nieces, Gabrille Watson Jones of Tulsa, Sarah Watson Gayman Heath of Santa Barbara, CA, Sylvia Watson Gayman (Chet) Witz of St. Paul, MN; and nephew, David Watson (Maria) Gayman of Monrovia, CA; cousins, Jean Andrews Larimore of Tulsa, John F. (Greta) Cailloux and family of Tulsa, Camille Cailloux Bennitt and family of Oklahoma City; 1 grand-niece and 3 grand-nephews of California, 7 great-grand-nieces/ nephews of California; 1 grand nephew and 1 great-grand nephew of Tulsa; and dear friends, Debbie and Johnie Lawson, and children of Ramona, OK, Charles and Glenna Lawson of Garland, TX. Lucy attended Longfellow Grade School (1924-1930), Woodrow Wilson Junior High School (1930-1933), and Central High School (1933-1936), all in Tulsa. She was employed by the Hanna Lumber Co. (1946-1948) and The Jones and Laughlin Steel Supply (1948-1972). She worked after retirement in the Tulsa Public Schools (1972-1979). She won an award later in life for 25 years service as a volunteer at Doctor's Hospital in Tulsa. She touched many lives with her kindness and service. Her strong commitment to our Lord spanned 90 years. She had been a member of The First Baptist Church of downtown Tulsa since 1959 and memorials are preferred there to the Lottie Moon Foreign Missions Offering, her passion. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service. Funeral service will be 10 a.m., Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Moore's Southlawn Chapel, 9350 E. 51st, Tulsa, (918) 663-2233. Burial to follow at the adjacent cemetery of Memorial Park. Luncheon to follow the burial at the Memorial Park Family Center on the premises.
