Matthew Michael McBride

McBRIDE -- Matthew Michael, died at age 25, in Grapevine, TX, on Sunday, February 4, 2007. The son of Michael Kenneth McBride, Grapevine, and Elizabeth Ashby, Vancouver, WA. Matthew was born in Salina, KS, on November 11, 1981. Educated in Tulsa, Matthew graduated from Project 12 High School and later attended Tulsa Community College. Matthew was baptized and confirmed in the Episcopal Church. Recently, Matthew had been employed by Wal-Mart in Roanoke, TX. Matthew was a gifted artist and devoted friend to many. In addition to his parents, he is survived by: his grandparents, Mary Ashby, Tulsa, and Pat and Doug McBride, Bigfork, MT; great-uncle, George L.Carver, Tulsa; sisters, Sarah McBride Wright, Tulsa, and Alexandra Hope McBride, Flower Mound, TX; brother, Corey Jennings McBride, Flower Mound; aunts, Anne Ghost Bear, Tulsa, Julie Todd, Ada, and Kathy Vance, McLoud; cousins, Jenny Elizabeth McElroy, Oklahoma City, and Amy Katherine Beaudoin, Denver, CO; nephew, John Ashby (Jack) Wright, Tulsa. Other family members of Matthew's include Tim DeMoss, John Ghost Bear, Kristi Ford, Carol McBride, Ted Ghost Bear, Danny Carey, Justin Todd, Jeb Todd, Jake Todd, Kelly Vance, Samantha Vance, Jeff McBride, Tracey McBride, Kim McBride, Justin Chancellor, Kyle Wright, Lincoln McElroy, Christopher Beaudoin, Maynard James Keenan, Adam Jones and Susan Mealey. Matthew's grandfather, John F. Ashby, died in 2001. Matthew's life will be Celebrated 2 p.m., Sunday, February 11 at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, 9th and Yale, Tulsa.
