Vinita Mounger Obituary

MOUNGER - Vinita "Nita" A., 90, passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2007 in Tulsa, OK. Born September 4, 1917 in Hickory Grove, OK to Charles and Matilda (Spyres) Adair. Retired as Executive Secretary of Oklahoma Credit Union. Member of South Tulsa Baptist Church. She was a basketball player for the Hickory Grove and Grove Schools. She played guard on a six-girl team where they won the 1936 Junior Championship title. Preceded in death by: her parents; 2 husbands, Les Reynolds and Roy Mounger; step-son, David Mounger; siblings, Cora Bruere, Hazel Martin, Lou Klaus, Cecil Adair, Cullen Adair, and Burl Adair. Survived by: her son, Robert Reynolds of Tulsa, OK; step-son, Robert Wayne Mounger and wife, Norell of Dallas, TX. Visitation will be all day Saturday and Sunday. Memorial service will be 11 a.m., Monday, December 10, 2007 at University Village Chapel. Memorial contributions maybe made to the South Tulsa Baptist Church building fund.
