Warren Young Obituary

Warren Franklin Young

March 17, 1937 - July 28, 2025

Warren Franklin Young, a Tulsa attorney, devoted husband, veteran, and oil and gas entrepreneur, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the age of 88.

Born on March 17, 1937, in Ada, Oklahoma, Warren carried with him deep-rooted pride in his home state. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma, then proudly served in the United States Air Force, an experience that instilled in him lifelong discipline, purpose, and patriotism.

Following his military service, Warren earned his law degree from the University of Tulsa College of Law. He went on to establish the Young Law Firm, where he built a long and successful career focused on oil, gas, and mineral law.

Warren was also an entrepreneur at heart. Alongside his wife, Beverly Ann Young, he cofounded Baytide Petroleum, an oil and gas exploration company rooted in their shared vision and industry knowledge.

Warren is survived by Beverly, his beloved wife of 65 years and constant companion in life, business, and travel.

Warren had a passion for exploring both across the United States and around the world. Together with Beverly, he traveled extensively throughout Europe, Canada, China, Mexico, and the Caribbean. He was often seen in his 10gallon cowboy hat and boots, behind the wheel of his signature black Cadillac, with Beverly faithfully at his side.

A memorial service to celebrate Warren's life will be held on Friday, August 1, 2025, at Trinity Episcopal Church in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Wallace Edward Lunn, Sr. Endowed Scholarship at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee, in honor of Warren's memory and legacy.

Warren Franklin Young lived a life shaped by loyalty, purpose, and quiet determination. He leaves behind a legacy of professional achievement and enduring Oklahoma grit. He will be missed and remembered by all who knew and loved him.

I have so many memories of Warren from my childhood, I can´t begin to pick just one. I´m sad to hear the news of his passing and wish I could hug Beverly right now.

I met Warren in 2007 as he was one of the original graduates of OU´s Petroleum Landman degree.
He came back to the university to teach and every year he was voted one of the best lecturers by the students.
Warren and Beverly are a team centered in love and their faith.
He will genuinely be missed.
Rest in peace my friend.

Warren was a buddy, and my personal attorney for a number of years.

We serve together on various projects at Trinity Episcopal Church.

Warren helped me, Bill the first Tuesday club, for young men at Trinity Episcopal Church, many years ago.

I send my heartfelt condolences to my friend and Warren`s wife, Beverly.

Rest in peace, my friend.
