Ellen Phillips Obituary
She was preceded in death by her late husband, O.E. Phillips; and 13 brothers and sisters.
Survivors include her daughters, Estela Cox, Channa Daniels, and Sydney Hutson (Bo); sons, Lee Knight, Mike Riley (Benita), and Scott Daniels; grandchildren, Robbie, Curtis, Melissa, Amanda, Taylor, Kacie, Karlie, and Brett; a special longtime friend, Martha Braughton; and great-grandchildren, Riley, Chase, Andrew, Shelby Grace, Ryleigh, and Dakota.
She was a member of Sue Garner Order of Eastern Star, Tuscaloosa Credit Union Board of Directors, past officer of N.A.R.F.E., and a lifelong member of Unity Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Pallbearers will be Don Lamb, Walt Parks, Barry and J.B. Rinehart, Buddy Marlowe, Danny Smith, and Butch Self.
Honorary pallbearers are members of Tuscaloosa Credit Union, Unity Baptist Church, and Bethel Baptist Church; and friends and neighbors of 52nd Ct. Community.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of West Alabama.

So sorry to learn of your Mom's passing. She was a very compassionate
and caring person; she was always at my side when dealing with Peggy.
I learned of her death too late for me to drive to Tuscaloosa but please

Thinking of you, wishing you hope in the midst of sorrow, comfort in the midst of pain. Ms. Ellen was a true asset to our lives and to Tuscaloosa Credit Union.
She will be greatly missed.
