Phillip Hargle Obituary
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sara Barton Hargle, and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hargle.
He is survived by his son, Phillip Neal Hargle (Carrie).
Pallbearers will be J.J. Snider, Tom Rentz, Marty Herring, Brett McDaniels, Greg Jewels, and T.J. Thomas.
Honorary pallbearers are Gary and Anna Lou Burks, Mike Crawford, Steve Bridges, Jerry Sanford, Fosters/Ralph Fire Department, Dr. John Summerford, Park and Charlotte Barton, Taylorville Baptist Church, Emmanuel Baptist Church, and Todd Krisin Hamner.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Taylorville Baptist Building Fund.
To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Phillip was a Big Alabama fan He and I went to the Home games together some of the away games and a couple bowl games . Always had the time to talk about the game and talk about life in general always could make you laugh. He will Be missed but not forgoten

I'm saddened to learn of Phil's passing and send my sincerest condolences to his family and friends. I always enjoyed seeing and visiting with him at our THS Class of '63 reunions. He will be missed and remembered fondly as a very personable and caring classmate.

Neal I am a better person by having the good fortune of befriended your father, all of us that were lucky enough to get to know him in New Orleans will miss him dearly. And the recieving line that I witnessed was a testimonial to how great a soul he was Joe Trotta (new orleans)

Dear Neal...You don't remember me since the years have taken my husband and me far from Tuscaloosa. However, I am saddened to hear about your dad's passing. He was a friend to me, and I always loved him very much. In fact, I had phoned Phil a couple of years ago and we enjoyed talking over old times. What a way with people he had, and what a dear, loving heart! I bet you are a lot like him. If so, be proud!

Phil you meant the world to me as one of my best friends and a "grandfather" I haven't had for most of my 31 years. Amy, Riley, Tyler, Mom, Dad and I will greatly miss you. Riley and Tyler know you went to see Jesus. I will never forget our friendship and you will always have a special place in our hearts. I love you.

Neal: Your dad has been my friend since our days at Tuscaloosa High School. The years took us onto separate paths, but whenever we got together again, it was as if the years just melted away! He was always so gracious and made everyone he met feel welcome and special. He will certainly be missed by his friends and we can only imagine your loss. Please know that we're praying for God's healing touch in your life.

All of Phil's friends in New Orleans(and there were many) are saddened to hear of his passing. He was one of the funniest and lovable folks to every grace our lives. We love you and will miss you always.
