Barbara Joanne McLEOD

1941 - 2021

Passed away peacefully in her home in Lilydale, Minnesota, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the age of 80. Barbara was born on November 8, 1941, and spent her entire life in St. Paul, attending grade school at Nativity of Our Lord and high school at Our Lady of Peace. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 65 years, Thomas J. McLeod, and her parents, Joseph and Shirley Francis. Barbara will be deeply missed by her eight children, Joseph (Joan); Jeffrey (Robin); Patricia Todora (Dennis); Lisa Lofquist; Scott (Susan); Robert (Danelle); William (Jeanne); and T.J. (Kristy); her 28 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; her 4 siblings, Dr. Gary Francis (Margaret), Ronald Francis (Jennifer), Debra Gisch (Michael), and Thomas Francis (Ruth Sontag); and her many friends. Barbara, known to her grandchildren as "Grandma B", lived a long and beautiful life dedicated to building beautiful family memories and living out her Catholic faith performing endless acts of mercy serving and supporting her family, the dying, the homeless, and local religious communities. Mass of Christian Burial 11AM Friday, December 10, at the Church of St. Francis De Sales, 650 Palace Ave, St Paul. Visitation 4-7PM Thursday, December 9th, at Willwerscheid West-Heights Chapel, 235 Wentworth Ave. W., West Saint Paul, 651-457-7938 and at church 1 hr before the Mass.
