Beverly ABUZZAHAB Obituary

January 3, 1935 – November 13, 2023 She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Mary; and her brother Ron. She is survived by her children Nada (Peter), Jennifer (Ken), Rick (Anne Marie), Jeff (Tiffany), and Mark (Tory); and grandchildren Samantha, Julia, Kaia, Ayden, Harry, and Kelsey. Born in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, she moved to Baltimore as a child. She graduated with a nursing degree from Church Home and Hospital in 1956. She then worked at The Henry Phipps Psychiatric Hospital at Johns Hopkins where she was promoted to head nurse and lead nursing instructor before meeting her now ex-husband. She moved to Minnesota and reinvented herself as a mother, then a realtor, and then a grandmother. She valued education and supported her children throughout their lives; teaching them to read, as room parent extraordinaire, and as grammar police and cheerleader when they were older. She was also a supportive friend, encouraging them to fulfill their dreams. She had curated opinions on topics as varied as the dubious ethics of some politicians (whom she referred to as toads) and why peanut butter is better from a 40 ounce jar. When she was younger, she was an avid reader and could complete the New York Times Saturday crossword in ink. Beverly treasured her grandchildren, and was happiest when she spent time with them.

Beverly was very much like a mother to me. I learned so much from her. I looked up to her as a caring, loving woman. I just discovered this and am heartbroken. I am very sorry for all of the family. My love to you.
