Mollie, Brooks, Rick, Sarah and Lucy:
Our family's deepest sympathies to your family at this time of sorrow. I have very fond memories of Brooker: the breakfasts after mass on Sunday at the house (forty years ago!), the wonderful times at the turf club, and just all of the wonderful times with him over the years. May he rest in peace.

Mollie, Brooks, Rick, Sarah and Lucy, we were saddened to hear of Brooker's passing. We have many wonderful memories of my parents and your parents partying together. In fact, we have Brooker and Martha's pictures on our family wall of photos. I know my Mom and Dad were there to welcome him home. We were blessed to be able to call him a friend.

Rick,
I don;t know if you will remember me, I worked with Larry Scheafer for many years with ConAgra Flour Milling. You have my deepest sympathy for the loss of your father. I did not know that he had done so many different things in his lifetime, I only knew about Burdick Grain and the racetrack.

Dear Lucy, Mollie, Brookie, Ricky & Sarah and families
So sad to hear about Uncle Brooker. He was a wonder man who always thought of others.
His visits to Californina to see us were always anxiously awaited. Mom loved her brother so.
I remember coming home with you one summer to stay. that was the year Sarah was born.
Brooker loved you all so much. We had fun with all his antics and treat nights, pancakes on the weekends and all the fun stuff he did. He had funny nicknames for all the cousins which we still use and laugh about.
He had a wonderful full long life. We all have to travel that road someday. I'll miss you Uncle Brooker.
Love, Janet and family

My husband & I had the pleasure of meeting & spending time with Brooks when we brought our horse Omar Khayyam from New York to Canterbury Downs to run in the St. Paul Derby. What a charming & knowledgable host he was. We loved our time there & I am sorry to hear of his passing.

Dear Lucy, Mollie, Brooks, Rick and Sarah,
As a friend of Sarah's growing up, I have fond memories of the fun and generous man we called "Brooker". His laughter, stories, and adventures were a treat to be around. The lessons I learned from him were many...mostly about living life with generosity, kindness to others, and love. It has been several years since I have seen Brooks, but I proudly keep his book that he wrote on my bookcase!
P.S. I won't forget the time he sent Tamey & I on an adventure to AZ (as 19 year olds) with his brand new Cadilac- brave man!

Dear Lucy, Mollie, Brooks, Rick and Sarah,
I was so sorry to hear of Brooks' passing – it’s hard to believe that he died just 9 months after my dad did. They were such good friends for such a long time. I have a feeling they are toasting each other right now!
Unfortunately, I’m unable to attend his service, but I will be thinking of you and praying that you can remember Brooks’ warmth and wonderful smiling face when you feel lonely and sad.
Love,
Cathy
