David William HALPER

Age 80 Passed away on January 30, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, Leonard and Edythe Halper; sister, Roberta Sue Halper; stepson, Ryan Benson; and grandson, Ryan Benson, Jr. Survived by wife, Shar Benson; children, Heidi (Gordy Grimsby) Gedis, Jobi (Steve Levinson) Halper, Jonathan (Jill) Halper, Kelly (Amie) Mayo, Nicole (Craig) Harrison, Arianna (Tom) Halper Ryan, Barrett and Jack Benson; sister, Diane (Martin) Wapner; and 17 grand children, Sara, Marissa (Alex), Robert "Poof", Jacob, Noah, Jamie, Isaiah, Joshua, Jonah, McCullen, Gradyn, Olivia, Wyatt, Birdie, Asher, Callum and Bodie. David grew up in St. Paul, MN, spent most of his adult life in Minneapolis, MN and of late moved to Pompano Beach, FL. David was a leader in the packaging industry, first with family business National Packaging Corporation and later in Stone Container and other companies. He was a leader at Beth El Synagogue for many years and also enjoyed many many years working out with his friends at the Calhoun Beach Club. Funeral service was on WEDNESDAY, February 2nd at BETH EL SYNAGOGUE. Memorials preferred to The Leukemia And Lymphoma Society or Pet Haven Minnesota.
