Hi Uncle Don,
I wanted you to know how hard this has been for me. I appreciated you so much yet showed it so little. I've spent a lot of time trying to remember if I told you thank you for all of your help with the house but I just cant remember. So thank you uncle Don, I couldn't have done it without you. I have missed you every moment since you've been gone even though our visits where seldom while you were here. I can't believe I let the opportunity, to spend more time with you, pass me by. I guess the thought of losing you never crossed my mind. Still I admire you for being so selfless when it came to helping others. I can truly understand now how many lives you have touched. Dad, I always thought I couldn't miss what I didn't have but I should have known better. Like I told you at the hospital, watch for me in heaven and let's get to know each other better. Your wake was beautiful you looked so at peace! Barb, Donnie, Tanya thank you all so much for making me feel so confortable! It realy helped alot. I am honored to have been thought of as your "daughter". I could never express just how cherished you were. You were always willing to help Donnie & I out with anything we might need. From picking the kids up to fixing the dryer, you were always there for us... Oh how we will all miss you!!! I am so grateful that I had the chance to spend the time I did with you, and that Lynnea was blessed to have a "grandpa" in her life.. I hope you knew just how much you touched our lives.

We will miss you more than words can express. You werent a man of many words but when you spoke you spoke with such love and humor. Thanks for all the work you have done we will have little pieces of you always with all the things you have fixed for us. I will cherish the memories always in my heart. Thinking back to my past memories of Don what stands out the most is the fact that he never judged me. No matter what color my hair or what metal was in my face he meet me with the same love and true conversation. I will never forget the kindness Don showed me as I struggled with Grandma's death and now I feel a sense of peace to know that they are now together looking down on all of us. We are all blessed to have known such a wonderful man.

What can I say about someone with such a huge heart. Don was the kindest man I ever have known. He would give you the shirt off his back. There is one thing that stands out in my mind, something I thought he would never do. He sang for us at Ann's apartment. He sang Amazing Grace, which is a perfect song for him. He will truly be missed and everyone that never got to know him missed out on a very good person. I am so lucky to have him as my uncle and godfather. We never tell people we care about how much we love them, I guess this is a hard lesson to learn but we do love you uncle Don. Barb you have been a rock through this all, and we are here for you if you should need anything. Donnie you showed us how to be strong, no tears, something we all shed for you. You are our cousins and as a family we all were there for each other. Don would be so proud of you. He was a man that would jump at the opportunity to help. We all should take note on how he was. It is always hard to say good bye to someone you love. I am not saying good bye to you Uncle Don, I am going to say til we meet again because I know you will be watching over all of us.

Where do I start? I am so sorry that I did not get the chance to say goodbye or to tell you just how much I realy love you one more time! Thanks for the memories Dad and for giving me the chance as I was younger to know my brother and sister! Don and Barb I have alot of good memories of us and Dad as a young girl!One of my 2 funnest memories were ice cream at Bridgemans and of course always going swimming! Dad I am happy we atleast got to have the conversations we had and I will treasure the memories of the times we did get to be together! Rest in Peace Daddy! I wil miss you I Love!
