Dad, each year that passes I find myself thanking God for you as I see more of our similarities. It´s an honor to carry on your physical features, your mannerisms, your sense of humor. I pray that I will also be able to mirror your humility, your kindness, your gentleness, and your loyalty to sharing the gospel with others. I love you and miss you Dad.

Dad, I'm grateful for you. I miss you. I thank you for your gentleness, your sense of humor, how you cared for the less fortunate, and for always telling me about Jesus, even when I didn't want to hear it. I will see you again soon.

Thanking God today for my Dad, Ed Sharockman. It's hard to believe 4 years have gone by. I miss him terribly, and I am ever more grateful for the man he was, the way he treated others, the way he endured through physical and emotional trials, and how he never tired of sharing God's love through Jesus Christ with others. Looking forward to seeing you again Dad. I love you.

During these trying times of the Covet 19, the Pottsville Republican Herald Newspaper have been printing old Memories of Championship Sports Teams. A few weeks ago they printed a picture of out 1957 Championship Baseball Team when St. Clair High School beat a much bigger Allentown high School 1-0 to win the District 11 Championship and Ed scored the winning run to end the game. I have so many fond memories of growing up with Ed and playing all sports from Little League Baseball through High School Football, Basketball, Baseball including American Legion, and Semi-Pro Baseball. He was a great friend and my wife Amelia and I continue to send our thoughts and prayers to his family.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I do not think of Ed, a great upper classmate of mine at St. Clair High School and a true friend. May you continue to R.I.P.

I was lucky enough to live next door to the Sharockman Family on Amy Drive in Edina MN when I was growing up. In a neighborhood of successful strong business and family men, Ed was the hero for all the neighborhood boys. The day he moved in he stood in his front yard and took the time to shake the hand of and learn the name of every child in the neighborhood who would ride up ion their bikes. Always quick with a smile and a genuine Hello, he and his bride Fran were staples at neighborhood picnics and block parties. I was fortunate to be able to talk to him as I grew up and from him learned how professional athletes are in fact normal men. In Ed's case, an extraordinary man of integrity and family values. The day the Sharockman moved out of the neighborhood was a sad day.
I now live Across the country with my wife and sons. I often think of the men in my life beyond my father who had an influence on my own journey growing up. Ed was very influential on that list.
My deepest condolences to Fran, Mark and Brett. Your willingness to share Ed with so many people and his genuine interest in everyone he met will live on in the memories of all the kids who grew up on Sun Road and Amy Drive.
Gods blessings to you all.

Please accept our condolences. We lived across the street in Edina in the late 1960's early 1970's on Amy Drive. As a young kid I would stare in awe at Ed's game balls above the Sharockmans' fireplace mantel and dreamed of playing football. In High School I wore Ed's number 45 as a junior and football paved the way for me to attend college and play football for the USAF Academy. Thank you for helping to nurture my passion for football and to excel in my endeavors throughout my career. #45 lives on through the lives he has touched.

Kevin, sorry for the los of your Uncle Ed. Prayers for you and your entire family. God Bless.

I grew up in St Clair and was lucky enough to have known Ed. He was one of the nice guys. He was very important to our little town due to his athletic abilities that kept our coal mining community busy during those long winters. He was certainly the best athlete, and one of the nicest persons to come from St Clair. I will keep Ed and his family in my prayers.
