Evangeline "Vangie" HAGFORS

Age 82 Passed away on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 with Norman, her loving husband of 60 years, by her side. Vangie was a gift to us all. She brought light into the room with her beautiful smile, mischievous spirit and authentic care. Her genuine nature made everyone she met feel special. She has been described as "Joyous Grandma" "Magical Aunt" and "Best Friend". Her strength and tenacity for life were observed by all those she met. Her passion for gardening and flowers is felt in every bloom. Her grace in adversity was a beautiful testimony to her faith in Jesus Christ. Vangie was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Elnar and Catherine Gundale and her sister, Grace Nyhus. She will be forever missed on earth by her husband, Norman; children, Rachel (Perry) Pickerign and Mark (Janet) Hagfors; grandchildren, Samuel, Anna, Arielle and Ella Pickerign and Brita, Anders and Elias Hagfors; siblings, John (Marlene), Steve (Margie), Ruth and Phil (Barb) Gundale; brother-in-law, Gerhard Nyhus; and many, many other friends and family. We are forever grateful for the joy and laughter she brought to our lives. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, October 24, at Saint Andrew's Lutheran Church, 900 Stillwater Road, Mahtomedi. Visitation will be held from 3 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, October 23, at Bradshaw, 4600 Greenhaven Drive, White Bear Lake, and one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials may be given to Saint Andrew's Lutheran Church.
