It is with great sadness that we learned of Gabby's death. The story that KARE 11 did on her was quite inspiring and the news of her death quite a shock. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Dear John, Monica, and Aubrey:

I was so sad to see Gabbie's obituary in the paper today. I know how hard she fought during her illness. She was such a brave little girl! I will never forget a night when I was working at the hospital. Gabbie was having a hard time falling asleep, so we laid together and sang songs until she calmed down. And there was always that ever-present finger at her lips, as she looked out at you with those big beautiful eyes.

My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. I know that Gabbie will always be your guardian angel until you meet again.

With Love,

Kristin

Dearest Gabby: In your short life, you have touched many people. I think many people were drawn to Jesus because of your struggle and your mom and dad's faith. Yes, you have left this world but you are with Jesus now. What a little angel!

I heard of your loss from Ruth Peterson - Words cannot be expressed that would lessen your grief - but maybe it will help to just know people you don't even know - are thinking of you in your time of great loss and pray that the Lord will give you a measure of comfort.

I went to school with you John and Fr. Jon Shelley has kept most of us up to date regarding the progress of Gabbie. I was shocked and saddened to read today of her passing. You know from your religious education that Gabbie is in a better place. That doesn't help with the loss, only time and faith will heal that. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

I heard your tremendous story on Channel 11 last week, crying through most of it, and praying every day from then on for your entire family - leaving all in our Lord's hands. I then heard about Gabbie's death and read her obituary today with lots of tears. I need to let you know how much I grieve with you in your loss of this beautiful daughter and how I will continue to be in prayer to our caring God for all of you - Gabbie's sister as well. Yes, Gabbie is now the victor and she is safe in the arms of Jesus, her Savior! May God truly send you His love, strength, comfort in the days ahead knowing for sure that Gabbie is with Him.

My heart and prayers go out to you. Our Anna went to be with the Lord in May of 1997 and, although I know she is in Heaven, my heart is certainly still just as torn. I am sure it will always be until we are together again. Praise the Lord that like Anna, Gabrielle Anna is also now so much more than an angel! She is whole and she joyfully and expectantly awaits in the presence of our heavenly Father for that glorious morning when the dead in Christ shall rise; when we, who have also believed, are caught up with them to meet our Lord with whom we shall be forever where there is no death, sorrow, crying nor pain. What a glorious promise from God, Who cannot lie! I am so grateful to a Saviour that brings His comfort and His peace in even this, our most cutting and enduring pain. My life has forever changed. Not a thing nor person will ever, ever make it the same. I will grieve the rest of my life. I will grieve, however, in hope, precious hope, blessed hope, for I will hold my Anna again. I pray you will know the compassionate presence of our Lord at this time as He holds you close and that you might be blessed with His peace that passes all understanding.

In Christ,

Yolanda
