Greg, you were my first friend in grade school and I was lucky enough to count you among my best friends the last 34 years. Too many great memories to even start recounting and impossible to believe there will be no new ones to share. I'll always remember you as strong, smart, straight talking, thrifty, and spontaneous - a guy who lived life to the fullest. No better friend to camp, ATV, snowmobile, fish, hunt with - God broke the mold with you. You truly appreciated the simple pleasures of life. There's no replacing you, I'm only assured in knowing you're in God's hands now and smiling from above.

I'm so very sad to hear the tragic news. Greg was my favorite boy in Kindergarten in Roseville. He always let me sit on his lap for puppet shows even though he surely was uncomfortable. His smile in High School was always the widest. My prayers are with you.

Greg was involved in most of my happiest memories from veterinary school. The memories of parties, pranks, relaxed conversations, study sessions, and of course, the trips to The Cabin will never be forgotten. Even now, I find myself smiling at some of his antics. I aspire to bring as much joy to others in my life as he did in his.
To all those who cared for Greg, my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Greg had the smarts of a scholar combined with the loyalty and simplicity of a dog (which was his nickname). I was proud to serve alongside Greg as co-captains on the Roseville High Football team our senior year, which was a bond we traced all the way back to 1st grade and the recess lot at Falcon Heights Elementary School (where believe me, the stakes of victory were just as high as they were eleven years later under the lights). Greg was among the very best athletes at that little school (Sean Moriority, Dan Walsh, and Jeff Rosga to name just a few) and was certainly the most fearless.
I have many fond memories, one of which was in the summer of ’88 when we installed CB radios in our cars and harnessed that technology to coordinate random acts of mischief that continue to inspire but will not be detailed here.
I’ll miss Greg’s strong sense of justice and how he got it right at an early age that simple pleasures are the best.

To Marie and the Gramer Family-
This is the story I would like to share about Greg, I am so sorry I could not do it last night.
Our freshman year of vet school Greg invited our class to the cabin following our first quarter finals. On that trip there was a bond made between a group of friends that will last forever. There are many stories from that weeekend and other get togethers, but those stories all stemmed from that trip. It was Greg's kindness (and craziness) that brought a group of us together. At the wake there was a photo of a group of us from that weekend. I think everyone in that photo was there last night. And we sat together and yes, we were silent. I think most of us grappling with the fact that one of us is gone. But as the saying goes- not forgotten. We have so many stories of Greg. We have him (and The Cabin) to thank for starting a bond of friendship that will lst forever. He will be so greatly missed.
