Remembering the loss of Jim, who was my brother, Jerry Hess's best friend for so many years that Jim felt like he was my brother too, and was as nice as all my brothers were. One of the most difficult things about growing old, is saying goodbye to so many family members and special friends. It's hard realizing that Jim has been gone for this long. Memories are special, of course, but just not enough. I hope you're doing okay, Cheryl, but do know how hard it is to lose our wonderful husbands. Wishing the best for you, 'hon.

....we are so saddened by the loss of Jim....but our loss is heavens gain! We know we will see him again....this dear man was a man of faith, family and integrity...and served all with a humbleness that I have so admired. We are so blessed to have known him and to have called him friend.

I'm so very sorry, Cheryl, that you lost your wonderful Jim. I feel sick reading about this in my paper today. You know that I knew Jim forever, growing up together in S.E. Mpls. He was my brother, Jerry's, best friend for so many years, and almost seemed like part of our family. He was such a good-looking young fellow, and so very nice too. What a loss for your whole family. I wish you the best, 'hon. Cherish those special memories. With much love, Judy
