Jerry was a wonderful colleague. Each day that we had the opportunity to work together he made me laugh. I remember the first day i returned to work after my father had passed away... i was sitting outside of the "hump tower" with tears in my eyes. Jerry put his hand on my shoulder and sat with me for 20 minutes. He had an amazing way of comforting people. I am forever grateful for his friendship. He was a wonderful man. His family will forever be in my prayers. God Bless.

Jerry will always be in my heart. I didn't know him well, or even see him as much as others did -but when we did hang out he was always so funny, he picked up on little details and could crack a joke on just the littest things. Jerry exploited your weakness, and made your weakness become funny, no matter what it was. <3

I remember Jerry as a childhood friend. While watching my daughters laugh and play, I often think back to my days as a little boy growing up in south Maplewood. I cherish those times spent with Jerry.

My deepest sympathies to Jerry's family in this time of loss. I was shocked to hear of Jerry's passing.

Jerry and his family lived across the street from us for many years. Though most of my memories of Jerry are childhood ones, they are good memories.

I feel so fortunate to have met and forever been touched with Jerry's friendship, love and acceptance. Tony (my husband) and Jerry were the best of friends, and I was let into their circle the first night I met Tony at The Freight House. I admit at first I was a little intimidated by Jerry's height and wise words but I was quick to overcome this. I have suffered with Depression for many years of my life. Until I met Jerry I never met anyone who understood and never judged me. Through several hospitalizations Jerry was not only there for Tony but for myself with visits and phone calls and words that will forever be etched in my heart. I am only sorry I could not be there for Jerry as he was for me.
I love you Jerry and will never forget you! Please never forget me!

To Jerry's Family,
We were lucky enough to meet Jerry through softball and enjoyed his wit, wisdom and wisecracks that made each game a unique experience! He loved our dogs, especially our Yorkie, and we looked forward to seeing him at each game with a new outfit for the dog. We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to meet Jerry - he touched us with his humor and kindness and we will forever miss laughing with him.

To the family and friends of Jerry Bour Jr:

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Jerry, my deepest synpathy goes out, to his wife, his beautiful daughters, his brothers Tom, and Dan, and all who loved him.

I have known Jerry for years, as he had grown up across the street from me. I had babysat many times for the Bour kids. I even remember the times his parents sent him over for haircuts from me.

This is a big shock to me when I heard of Jerry's passing. He was always such a nice guy.

Jerry you are now at rest and in the arms of your mother!

May God Bless you, and your loved ones left behind!

To Jerry's Loved Ones-
I met Jerry many years ago in our writing group. We are about the same age, and frequently he marvelled at my little children and often voiced his longing for his own family. I am so glad, even with his untimely death, that he got to experience the love of his own children, and those sweet moments of fatherhood. I know it must have meant the world to him and was a lifetime of experience all of its own.

Jerry had a full sense of his own humanity, and of the humanity of all of us around him. May he be blessed with the knowledge of how fully and completely he is loved, and may he carry that knowing with him into his peaceful rest. We love you Jerry.

To all those who were lucky to have known Jerry,
The world has lost someone who can be called truly irreplaceable. Jerry’s take on life was like no other. He was always able to look at things and give you a wise and unique approach to it. Jerry told it like it was. His heart was large for those he let share it. His brilliant creativity was shown is all his stories and novel. He was someone who had many facets to his personality. Some of us were lucky enough to know all his sides. I am at a loss to express my feelings. I can only say that my life is less without him in it.
My sincere condolences,
