John Andrew BLOOMQUIST

1942 - 2022

Beloved Husband, Father, Brother and Friend Passed away peacefully at home on May 19, at the age of 79, after a hard-fought battle with leukemia. John was born on August 3, 1942 in Minneapolis. He grew up in NE Minneapolis, graduating from Edison High School in 1960. He then graduated from the University of Minnesota. He served his country in the US Army at the Pentagon, where his greatest service to his fellow soldiers was providing the television where they watched the Beatles first performance on Ed Sullivan. He then began a 35-year career in sales at John Roberts, where he earned the respect and friendship of his co-workers, no matter their job or title. John's most important accomplish-ment was being devoted father to his two children Christian and Karna, and loving husband to his wife of 44 years Sue (Campion). He loved nothing more than being a papa to his beloved grandchildren Carter, Samantha and Elliott. He loved his daughter-in-law and son-in-law, Emily and Sam, like they were his own. He was preceded in death by parents Clarence and Helen (Jackson). He is survived by sisters Leanna (George Rawley) and Joan (Loren Michaels). His passions for sports, good music, great movies, delicious food, and traveling will stay alive in the hearts of his family and friends.
