I THINK BACK SO OFTEN TO ALL THE GOOD TIMES WE HAD TOGETHER BOTH AT JMC AND OUTSIDE OF JMC. WE NEVER ONCE HAD ANY DISAGREMENT AND AS YOU SAID -NO MEETINGS. I MISS YOU ALL THE TIME AND I KNOW SOME DAY I WILL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE AND WE WILL LAUGH AGAIN.

I miss you so much Daddy.

To the whole Christopherson family -- It has been so many years. I was reminiscing with my family yesterday and mentioned that John was my confirmation sponsor. That's when my mother mentioned that John had passed away.

To fill in a bit -- the year was 1966. John was basketball coach at Central High, Great Falls, Montana. He had become a member of our family just because he was who he was -- a friend to my father, a mentor to us kids. So, I asked him to stand for me at my confirmation. I asked him this while he was napping in our living room. I'm not sure he knew what he had agreed to until later. Nonetheless, he stood by his word and stood by me.

He was in his 20s then, an energetic and vibrant guy. My family and I will always have fond memories of his coaching years in Montana. It was many years ago, and yet, I miss him now.

John and I worked together in Philadelphia for Jostens, years ago. I was very young and green. John was always concerned with my well being. Years after working at Jostens we would meet by chance. I was happy to experience his broad smile.

While our paths took us in different directions I will always remember his ebullient spirit. IÍm sorry to hear heÍs gone.

I knew John most of my 60+ years and was aware of what a fine athlete he was. But I'll remember him most for his friendly smile and upbeat attitude every time we met. When you entered the locker room at Lilydale, you knew John was there by the reverberating song of the day that bounced off the walls, punctuated by his cheery greeting. He put a smile on a lot of faces. I'll miss him. My sympathies to all the family.....Tom King

To John's family,

Many years ago John and I played a lot of squash together at the St. Paul Athletic Club. What fun it was! We had some great matches and some great laughs. I always enjoyed his company, even though he usually won. He was never bashful, of course, and was always ready with a quip, but we had some wonderful conversations about serious aspects of life. I always admired John's ability and willingness to honestly express his opinions and feelings. It was obvious from his comments that he loved his children very much.

Our paths didn't cross very much in recent years, but whenever I ran into John we would have a good laugh and it would bring back many good memories. I am very sorry for your loss and hope you will be comforted by the messages in this guestbook and the support of all of John's friends. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Brian, Eric and Leslie,

Shocked to hear about your Dad.

He was really a great guy. Always happy and up. I used to love Sunday 9:30 mass. He would stop in the back of the church where I use to usher and greet me and introduce me to his friends as the leader of his flock. He would also wave to Father Malone up at the alter... He will be missed.

Dear Brian, Erik and Leslie.

I knew your dad for at least 25 years. He always made me laugh.

This is my favorite memory. He would come to the office and announce his presence by singing to me 1 particular song, and singing loudly! I would dance while he finished the song. John would usually bring me a little something from his trunk; a magnet, a coffee cup, a pen, who knew? One day he brought me a silver pen he had ordered especially for me with my initials on it. I received a lot of compliments on it each time I used it and always would tell people who it came from and about the singing and dancing. I will always think of John when I hear the song and I will always share that story.

My deepest sympathy to all who loved and cared for John.

Brian, Erik, and Leslie,

I am very saddened to hear of JMC's passing. I will miss hearing him yell out "Leegie Juice" whether it be on the golf course, at a Notre Dame Football Game or coming down the hall at the office. Your father was a reached out to so many, it is an honor to call him a friend.

There is a candle lit for him in the Grotto.

JMC was a man like no other, his contagious personality and sense of humor will surely be missed by all. His ability to have such a positive outlook on life was always an inspiration to me. He proved to be a great friend and a fantastic golfing partner. I will sincerely miss his generousity and helpful advice. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

I am so sorry to hear about John's passing. It was a pleasure getting to know him and taking care of him over the past few months. He always came to the clinic with a smile on his face. He had a joke for me on each visit.

He will be missed. He spoke very highly of his children, he was a proud father. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Erik, Leslie, and Brian,

We are all crushed at the loss of your father and our great friend.

Our prayers are with you. As sick as he was towards the end, he was more concerned with how my kids and I were doing than with his own situation. What a blessing to have been his friend. We will never see another like him on this earth.

Brian, Erik, Leslie,

I go back to the school that your dad attended but wasn't mentioned, Nazareth Hall. Even for the short time he was there, he created good friendships and will be remembered by many because of his humor, spirit, competitiveness and loyalty. I never could get a fastball by him, much less a curve. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

To John's Family

I was sadden to hear of John's passing. I have not talked to John in quit awhile, but when I lived in St. Paul I considered John and and I as good friends. Every time I saw John he would open the trunk of his Cadillac and pull out an ad specialty for me. I especially appreciated John attending my father's wake, funeral, and trip to the cemetary after, as I had not seen him for some time and it was completely unexpected and thoughtful. He will be missed.

Brian, Erik, and Leslie,

Your father was a very good friend to me as he was to many. He gave me confidence and supported me in all that I did. For this, I will be forever greatful. JMC would go out of his way to help others and that is what I admire and respect most about him. He will truly be missed.

I am so sorry to hear about your dad. I am so happy have been a part of your family as you grew up. Your dad made me laugh and always was there to listen. When I think of the pranks we (Erik and I) used to pull on your dad I just laugh. Your dad loved you with his whole heart and soul and there is nothing that would get in his way when you needed help, encouragement or a push in the right direction. Erik you will always be his "tsetse fly". My prayers are with you.

Love always

To the family of Mr. Christopherson,

Your father spoke to our youth group at a summer enrichment program (Operation Take Pride in Mpls, Sponsored by MPI, administered by my dad, Dennis Carter) a couple summers ago.

Your dad spoke with so much wisdom and compassion. He shared his life struggles and blessings. There were many tears shed, alot of laughter and personal examinations involved in our time together. The foot prints he left on our hearts will remain with us, in particular the Carter family. What a awesome man!!

Your dad and I go all the way back to 6th grade playing in the old Saturday Morning( St Joe's St Matts, Baker and Cubs, Bears and Wolves) Basketball League. John was the ultimate competitor then and carried that trait though life. I followed his career in sports with admiration. His brother Fred kept me up to date with John's life.

I am so sorry to learn about your dad's passing. John was one of those friends that always was with you no matter what the circumstance. He was the best pure salesman I ever knew and/or worked with. He was tenacious and fearless which is why he was so successful.

I will miss his calls, visits and time together as will all of us but I am comforted that he is a much better place now.

Brian, Erik and Leslie,

Yesterday was a very sad day for Jeannette and myself. We were informed that we had lost an irreplaceable friend. Our close friendship with John goes back over 40 years. If John was your friend, He stuck by you through thick and thin, defended you from all adversaries, laughed and cried with you in times of joy and sorrow. Today we cry along with you because of our loss and are joyful with John for he is in a far better place. God Love You, John

While the pain you feel today is something which will affect you today, tomorrow and every day for the rest of your lives, I know that you will find comfort in the love your Dad has shown you over the years and the love you will experience over the next few days from John's friends. John was an amazing man who taught me a lot. Super Salesman, golfer - he earned lot of titles over the years. "Dad" was the title he appreciated the most and bragging about your accomplishments was his favorite topic of conversation.

There was nobody better at mercilessly deflating egos and nobody better at looking into a man's soul to find goodness. He was my friend - I will miss him. The world is emptier without him
