Renate, Rich and family..
I happened to meet your Dad up at the WSP Post Office during a nasty ice storm.
He was being escorted into the P.O. by a nice fellow.
He was a few peope behind me.
As I finished my turn...I waited for your Dad, admiring his sense of humor with the clerk as they chatted.
As he was bundling up, I decided to have him hold onto me all the way back to his car.
We chatted...I listened.
Within 15 mins., I had learned of his heritage, WWII, being so proud of his family, etc.
Peicing together that in fact you Renee were/are MJ's neighbor .
We met by fate, and I loved every minute of him!
God Bless him, and my thoughts are with you all.

Our family will dearly miss Josef at the 9:30 mass at Assumption. He would greet church members at the back of church with a big smile and a warm German greeting. When my children walked in, Josef would reach into his pocket and pull out a piece of candy for them. They looked forward to seeing him each Sunday! My kids are now 18 and 22, we have known Josef for many years. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Auf Wiedersehen Josef, ruhe in Frieden. Phil, Julie, Harry and Cady Hauck

We didn't know Joe personally, but we looked forward to his warm welcome at the 9:30 mass at the Assumption. The first time we spoke with Joe, he pumped my husbands hand and told him he looked like a good old German. My husband is 100% Irish! He always made us smile.
