LuVerne, one year ago today God called you home and broke my heart. Thirteen days later he called your beautiful Ruthie to join you in heaven and my world crashed around me. Then in June God once again showed his great goodness as he blessed our family with precious baby Jason Burkhardt, son of Matt and Missy and my first Great Grandson. What light he has brought into our world. I love you so much big brother and miss you more than words can say.
Rest in peace until I see you again.
Love, sis Mary, brother-in-law Wally and your devoted nephew Jimmy.

As I begin this new year without you, my precious brother, I am sad for myself, but have to be happy that you are free from pain and once again with your wonderful Ruthie. Loosing both of you within 2 weeks time was heartbreaking. I love you more than you can know and I feel the same love for Ruthie. One day we will be reunited in heaven and then you can get back to teasing me, which you loved to do. I.A.H.Y.I.M.H.U.W.A.R.
Love, your little sister Mary.

It is coming up on a year since you were called home. As with most the pain is still fresh in our hearts, you and Ruthie are extremely missed. It was comforting to know that you got to spend Grandma's birthday with her. You were her baby boy & perhaps worried about you more then most. Her love for you was strong as it was for all her loving children. We start a New Year without you but carrying all the love we have for you in our hearts. God Bless
you & Ruthie. Until we see you again, all our Love, Kimmie, David, Matthew, Missy & our new Grandbaby Jason David

Thanks to the doctors and nurses at St. Josephs hospital who worked so hard to save my precious brother Ken, it was not meant to be, but I take comfort in the fact that Ken is now free from pain and resting in Gods loving arms. Reunited with his parents Melvin and Julia and great nephew Johnny and best friends Mel, Del and Ray. Ken was surrounded by a roomful of loving relatives when God called him home after him being in pain for many weeks. Thanks to his angel Ruthie who was his great love and helpmate for 17 years. Thanks to everyone who has offered us their sympathy. We are holding Ken in ours hearts until we meet again.
Ken knew I loved him more than words can say.
My sympathy to all his friends, relatives and to his son and daughter in-law, Ken and Terri.

My Dearest Uncle Kenny, I cannot find the words to express just how much we are going to miss you. I will miss your humor, your wonderful smile, and your funny stories. I find comfort knowing that you are with Grandma, Grandpa, my Johnny & all of those who love you that were called home before you. I look forward to the day when I can be with you all. Our Love is with your Dear Sweet Ruthie. Thank you also for the service to our country. It is comforting to have ANOTHER GUARDIAN ANGEL watching over us all.
